Hi all

I am a new subscriber to this listserver and on reading the reply to
my subscription request noted that it was customary to give a brief
introduction. Well here goes.

Well I am actually a zoologist by training but have had a keen
interest in carnivorous plants since I was a kid. Unforetunately
South Africa is not a place where these plants a readily available
for hobbyists. Through ways and means I managed to get hold of some
exotic carnivorous plants and have been hooked ever since. My
particular interests at the moment are our indigenous South African
members, particularly their biogeography. I do have a fair sized
collection of mainly exotic species of Drosera, Nepenthes and
Sarracenia. May aim though is to get a complete collection of the South
African representitives of carnivorous plants.
