More on Japanese Book and Beerwah

Dear all,

The new Japanese book:

to add to what Jan has already mentioned about the book, the
translation of the title is 'Insectivorous Plants Species
and Growing' Edited by The Insectivorous Plant Society. Any
one who enjoyed Kondo's book should obtain a copy without
hesitation.

Unfortunately my Japanese skills are no better than Jan's,
so again many thanks to Isao for this translation.

The book is exquisite - if only my own photographs could be
as good as those in the book. There are over 300 hundred
colour photographs in the book (I think I counted 317) with
further black and white photos and diagrams. The photographs
are a nice mix of plants in habitat and in cultivation. As a
Utricularia fan, I was pleased to see photographs of several
species for the first time. Also there are a superb series
of close up photos of pygmy Drosera flowers which really
caught my eye. The P.ramosa photos are also particularly
memorable.

Beerwah,

Jan - Beerwah, Queensland Australia. Not sure where abouts
in Queensland Beerwah is (or what it is for that matter) my
U.uliginosa originated from the same location. Are there any
Aussies on the list familiar with this site? If so what
other CPs grow there?

Kind regards

Loyd
