     Depending on which plants you are growing, Dormancy means low light, 
     cooler temperatures and dryer then normal conditions. Basements, 
     garages and cool greenhouse work well for some people. I use a cool 
     greenhouse for mine. I keep the temperature above freezing, approx 
     35-40 degrees, but sometimes the temperature will drop below freezing 
     for short spells without no noticeable effects. I have all my plants 
     sitting on the ground out of water and about one a month( depending on 
     how dry the plant container gets) I mist the plants just to keep the 
     soil moist, otherwise I let nature do the rest. It would also be wise 
     to inspect your plants about once a week or so just to ensure 
     everything is doing fine and there is no noticeable problems with 
     disease, mice, people etc.

me.
     
does dormancy mean cold , dark, or a simulation of winter (ie cool with 
little light)
