Darlingtonia cultivation

Hello all,
I just joined the list - I'm a newbie CP grower (about 3 years now, with
varying success) who is trying to learn more. I've had great luck with several
nepenthes, utricularia, drosera and pinguicula (they DO multiply, don't they?),
but am having problems with the Darlingtonia. I have them set up in a tank that
floods a couple of times a day, then drains out, so they are never standing in
water. Is this a good idea? They didn't like being in a very humid
environment, but seemed to like to have their feet wet, so this is the best I've
found, but I'm still not pleased. ANY info you might have on the cultivation of
Darlingtonia would be greatly appreciated. (I'm in Southern California, btw.)
If this is an old topic, I apologize, and will dutifully look up the archives
on it.

Thanks for all the good information so far!
