     Tom,
I think that Dave was talking about the VFT that I have, you know,
the one that's been catching all the neighborhood cats. I try to keep
the local animals out of my yard, but its impossible sometimes. I
really don't mind the plant catching a rabbit or two or even a
squirrel once in a while, but not the neighborhood animals. Everytime
I see what's left of a neighbors cat (Hairball and TEETH) I get a
     little upset.
I got home late the other night. It must have been around eight at
night when I heard this ungodly noise outside in the back yard and
when I went to investigate, I saw a pit bull dog trying to chew his
way out of one of the VFT traps. You know, you would think that people
would respect other peoples property and keep there dogs on a leash or
something. Will the dog did chew his way out and I am sorry to say
that the trap suffered greatly, but the plant still has five more
traps waiting patiently for it's next victim.
                              Charles Brewer

No way there Dave..... 6 inch leaves, traps included!
It's my plant, so I should know. (However, I WISH it was that large!)
To clarify here, 12 inches wide total.
