After reading all the discussion on rainwater and lightning effects, I
just wanted add some more thought. Rainwater may be beneficial in the way
that it is naturally acidic and may contain trace elements, but don't
throw away your distilled water yet. I believe that CP's can derive their
needed amount of nutrients from insects, and that includes trace amounts
of metals and nonmetals which occur in all living things. Using distilled
water is in my opinion the safest method of watering. True, pollution may
introduce some 'desirable' nitrates, but often it also introduces
undesirable elements and organic compounds which did not naturally occur
in the atmosphere before the advent of alchemy and such. Just something to
think about.
