Fungus on vft's - Thank goodness not mine!

A friend of mine, who grows nothing but vft's for commercial distribution
has been getting plagued by a fungus that shows up as a litle black dot and
eventually turns the whole leaf to mush. (The whole plant actually.) He
asked me to relay the question to the listserver since I can't help
him.....(Thankfully I don't have the problem!) I wish I coulde give more
specifics here, but please forward any insight on treating fungus, so I can
relay it to him.

i.e. Specific names of chemicals and suggested doses / frequency of
applications, etc.....
