Hi, I found some sort of webs on my D. capensis which is now flowering.
Since my VFT which was positioned about 1m away, a few days before this also
had these webs which should mean it has spider mites, I wondered if also D.
capensis could be infested with spider mites and if they are of any harm to
the this plant??
Just a few days before discovering mites in the VFT I noticed that the end
part of several leaves of the D capensis where burnt so I thought I had to
back off the direct sunlight, but couldn't this be caused instead by spider
mites????
I keep the VFT and D capensis on my balcony since they need a lot of light,
so I wondered if it would be a good idea to spray the surface under the
trays (the vases are obviously on trays of water) with soaped water to kill
any mites wondering on that surface so they can't go from plant to plant.
Would this work?? Do mites walk or can they manage to jump or fly???
thanks in advance to all of you
ciao
