Eric:

I have grown P. planifolia in the past quite successfully in undrained
tubs in FULL SUN (as I recall, planting mix was probably 50/50 peat &
coarse sand). They were often in standing water, but it was NEVER
allowed to stagnate (poured off &/or flushed at least a couple of times a
week). BTW, where do you obtain your P. planifolias that "don't make the
shipment"?

Brian:

Drosera anglica is the only CP species native to Hawaii; as far as I
know, there is no question as to whether it is actually native. The
theory is that it arrived as a seed on the muddy foot of a migrating
plover. It grows only in the Alakai Swamp on Kauai.

There is 1 (2?) Utricularia which is reported to be "naturalized"
somewhere in Hawaii, but I don't know the details.
