Since everyone else seems to be interested in this topic, I guess it
wouldn't hurt to continue this discussion, although eventually some of
us may want to form a "bees and mites" discussion group.
Someone mentioned that, with the demise of the imported honeybees, our
native (US) pollinators are doing the job of pollination. What are these
natives? Bumblebees, green bees, some beetles? Does anyone know if
our native bees can be domesticated and used to produce honey and beeswax
like the imported species?
And now back to our regularly scheduled program...
Which Drosera, if any, can be grown w/o a dormant period? That is,
which can I grow in my Nepenthes terrarium w/o worrying about remembering
to put them in the fridge or reducing the temperature? Can I assume the
tropicals (e.g. D.adelae and D.spathulata) will thrive in these
conditions? (I imagine flowering may be somewhat uncoordinated).
Enough for now.

Ben.
