Hello,

Perhaps this has been mentioned here already, so if it has, I apologize
for repeating it...

A remembered this morning that some people who I met in California who
had just started growing carnivores would go to the local garden center
to by Sphagnum moss and would end up buying what is fairly common there
called "Green Moss" or something similar.

This green moss is not sphagnum moss, but is a type of moss that I think
grows on trees. I found it to be quite toxic to most CP.

On the East coast, on the other hand, many garden centers seem to carry
actual dried sphagnum moss.

So if you are just starting out with CP, be sure to find true Sphagnum
moss, or use peat moss, rather than the Green Moss sold in the West...
