D. binata with 2, 3 and 4 points

Recently, a plant of mine that I thought was a basic D. binata has been
producing
some leaves with 3 and 4 points (in addition to leaves with 2 points). Will
D. binata
sometimes do this or does this mean by definition that it must be a dichotoma
- multifida form that is reaching maturity? It had flowered several months
before the extra points began appearing.
