Hi everyone,
I am an organic chemist working for BASF, UK.
I have many hobbies the most recent one is growing CP's of course
though I only have a handful at the moment soon to be put to
rights. When I can find some specialist nurseries, not quite
confident enough yet to try seed. What would you recommend for a CP
virgin :-}
My main interest is cacti and succulent plants so generally anything
that will survive with them or outdoors all year or in a cold frame.
As most of my questions will have been answered many times to save
space etc. feel free to reply to me direct.
The plants that I have are two S. purpurea in flower now.
P. oaxaca this has been in flower since last November and still going
strong. U. sandersonii thought I had lost this over the winter but it
has started flowering again just as I was about to throw it on the
compost heap. A sundew that is just starting to flower It did not
like the cold greenhouse and I almost lost it at -7C and had to
rescue it by moving it into the heated g/house. Then of course the
ubiquitous VFT again coming into flower. Someone said you can take
the flower stalk for cuttings is this an old wives tale or what.
