N.faicaliana once again

Hallo Jan & all,

thank you for your comprehensive information. If you study (as far as
possible!) the photo nanotypus material, which you say it is authentic
to Masters N.stenophylla and if you read the description of Master you
will find significant differences between this stenophylla and Danser's
N.stenophylla. Master describe it "ovate-orbicular, subcordate" and
"much smaller than the mouth". Danser described the lid of
N.stenophylla as "suborbiculate". Unfortunately Lamb and Phillipps
din't consider this problem in their new book.

I would agree with your concept No.1. But this would mean that Lamb and
Phillipps see N.faicaliana to be conspecific to N.fallax! And this is sure
not the case. You have (and Adam and Wilcock have done!) to compare N.faicaliana
with N.stenopylla (=N.fusca Dans.). And the clear differences show the rank of a
specie!
