H. minor leaf mutations

How common are H. minor leaf mutations?

The new leaf on mine opened well before
the top normally flares out, leaving a well-
enrolled tube (akin to a short, fat soda straw).
Although I'm a relative novice at Heliamph
culture, I've never heard of wide leaf variation
in the genus. (Interestingly, the new leaf looks
to be a much more efficient means of trapping prey
than the "typical" ones .... ain't evolution grand?)
