I have heard from several sources that temperature during dormancy may the
leading cause of your S. flava "Burgundy". This happens even in their
natural stands after a very cold winter. Mine is constantly green probably
becaus of this - winters dip to -10 degrees C very frequently. My guess is a
dormancy period of 5 C or above would be good.
