Hi Demitrio,

The average height of all the plants I saw was about 8-10cm, the
tallest one being maybe 20cm. I surely didn't see any of those
1.2m high ones you read about in the CP books. This could vary
depending on where they grow, or it could be just because it's
still spring here, and the new growth was just starting - only
a couple of those I saw had flower stalks just beginning to
emerge. As for the stems, they were all vertical except for
one very old plant I saw that grew out of the crack between some
almost vertical rocks, and its 1cm-thick stem was sagging down
below horizontal.

Does anyone on the list have access to inexpensive soil analysis ?
I would like to see just what's in it. I've read in several
places (CP books and on the CP list) about people growing
drosophyllum in sphagnum/peat/sand mixes, but I find it hard
to believe they would do well in it, as this is about as different
from the soil I saw them growing in as I can imagine.
