In response to Russell Elliott's query about using Folimat
(omethoate):
In general, the anticholinesterase insecticides are safe for plants
because plants do not express the target enzyme, cholinesterase.
These insecticides tend not to be very persistant as they are
destroyed by light and water. What might be of greater concern is
the vehicle used to disperse the insecticide. Are there organic
solvents in this vehicle? (probably) Those solvents might be
detrimental to the plants, although if the product is designed for
ornamental plants I would hazard a guess that it is safe.
