Dear Jeff,

Welcome on the web as a close second. Maybe you have overlooked that there
*is* a cp home page on www already (since 1994):

http://www.hpl.hp.com/bot/cp_home

>If you already have a carnivorous plant site on the net, we'd be glad to
>place a mirror of your site on our server at no charge, or we'd be glad
>to provide a link to your site.

How about joining our efforts (instead of just mirroring each other) in
order to prevent unnecessary competition?

>We are particularly interested in promoting the preservation of wetlands
>containing carnivorous plants. We are working with the Nature
>Conservancy and other organizations and individuals to provide funding
>to acquire and preserve wetlands containing carnivorous plants.

Nice. Rick Walker, the cp list (the one you wrote your message to) owner
and supervisor of the cp page cited above is president of the International
Carnivorous Plant Society and member of the IUCN (carnivorous plant
specialist group, just in case you need some official titles for your
files).

Kind regards
Jan
