With apologies to Phil, surely not!!! There is no such thing as an
excellent time to visit Gren Swamp, only a least worst time. With full
credit to Phil for pointing out seasonal benefits (to a plant
enthusiast), remember to take as much anti-chigger cream as you can buy.
Ugh! Still, just think of all those future chigger families you'll be
assisting. You'll be a sort of god-father to hundreds of chiggerlings.

NEW BOOK!

Paul simon has just published a new book entitled The Action Plants.
Price is 45 UK pounds (!!!). Paul was a botanist (a real one like Jan)
and a CP enthusiast. He's now working for the BBC (as in Television))
but wrote this all the same. It's about all those plants that move fast
enough to be seriously attarctive (in a platonic way) to likers of the
weird and wonderful. I've not seen it yet but I'll try to report on it
after I visit Wisley (RHS) tomorrow.

I'm BACK

For those who noticed, cared or even fought to get through to me, most
of my mail problems may now be fixed as I'm now receiving cp_digest
again. Thanks to all for putting up with any problems my mail caused.
Special thanks to Toby (Chris) Marsden who put up with several test
mails and Rick for helping sort things out to keep me in touch.

Regards

Paul
