Unfortunately for those of us who live in Cobra Lily country, the Northern
West Coast, the abused specimens found in local shops are usually actual
members of this magnificent species.

Good for you Rick, I'm also "guilty" of on occasion rescuing suffering,
if not already dying CP from those mostly dry, tiny containers from hell
they're usually found in commercially. It's great no matter what
species you rescue, but I find particular pleasure when it comes to
pitcher plants. There's a deep satisfaction in taking a small, dried
out, weakling of a plant from a container the size of a Dixie cup, and
in only a couple of years having a vigorous plant with impressive
pitchers that tower over the 6-inch pot it now calls home. What a
difference a little care makes.
