Limited resolution plant mapping

Hi Folks,

Unfortunately, the problem of publishing exact locations of collectible
species is a very real one as evidenced by several incidents involving
_Sarracenia oreophila_. Forgive my poor memory, but I believe more than
50% of the plants were removed from these sites shortly after
publication. At the Southeastern CP conference last year pleas were
made to protect the exact locations of endangered populations in any
publication. I think mapping is a good idea, BUT the map need not be
used at its ultimate resolution. For a US map I would suggest
resolution to the county level, but no farther.

Take care!

Jeff
