The best type of sand to use is sandblasting sand. This is
generally, if not always the acid sand that you should use with CP. It
is available at your nearest Home-Depot hardware store (or something
similar)
The only problem with this type of sand is that it is sold in
100 pound bags and injuries are not uncommon when transporting them.
You will never want for silica sand again, however.
