John,
Dover Press has (had?) a MUCH less expensive print of this classic.
Granted, their books are reissues, but they are excellently printed and
bound. I have a large number of their operatic and symphony scores as well
and I'm always amazed at what I would call ridiculously low prices for good
quality books. I don't have their address in my office, but if you're
interested I can send it along. They have a number of different catalogues
covering all sorts of areas of interest.

Cheers,
Liane
