VFT blooming

Hello from a new user I need some help if you will be so kind.
I have replanted my new and one old vfn into a ten gal container. For the
past 4 years the old fly trap has sent up a flower stalk but just as the
flower starts to split open it turns black and the stalk dies.
Now the live moss has lowerd the ph to 5.7 is this right?? will it let
the vft bloom and set seed? the old ph was 6.9.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
