Cats are not supposed to like mint (though they are perverse beasties
at the best of times and the ones you are dealing with may just love
it ;-). Maybe you could make a mint tea and spray that on/around your
plants. Alternatively, a wire mesh guard may be enough to discourage
them - it is what I have to resort to to stop our duck mowing down all
my CP. It took me a while to work out why my D. Binata was not doing very
well until the duck got broody and suddenly my binata had leaves.....
