>>P.vallisneriifolia growing and doing well! Rah!

>I wonder. At its natural habitats in the Sierras de Cazorla/Segura/Villas
>(Spain) P. vallisneriifolia is dormant now and the winter buds last for at
>least 4 months (october/november till february/march). The new rosettes

Growing plants here in the desert I have many on an artificial seasonal
arrangement. The P.vallisneriifolia is kept chilled during the northern
hemisphere summer, and is allowed to grow only during the winter. This way
they have a cool (and not very hot) growing season followed by a very cold

My greatest success in this way is Darlingtonia which is now three years
old from seed.
