     Hello everybody,

     I'm a Conservation Officer at the Conservatoire et Jardin botaniques
     in Geneva, Switzerland. I also represent the CITES Management Authority
     for plants for Switzerland and I am a long-time grower.
     I also chair the IUCN/SSC Carnivorous Plants Specialist Group.

     My interests in participating to this list are numerous:

     - try to get rid of all the misunderstanding about CITES and CP's;
     - get taxonomic and morphologic informations on specific taxa;
     - try to understand the major trade patterns of some species;
     - discuss about active conservation of the most endangered CP's;
     - explains the aims of the IUCN/CPSG and link with the list;
     - extend the discussions to the french speaking part of the world
     where there are also many CP's: Y'at-il quelqu'un a l'ecoute?

     Although I don't have much time to devote to the list, especially
     when one gets over 30 messages overnight, I still hope to be able to
     contribute actively to the discussions.
