Ummm how did you determine the water was cooler? Measure it with a
thermometer or stick your fingers in it (wetware-digital thermometer
;-) If it was the latter then you may be sadly mistaken about the diff
in temperature, water _feels_ a lot colder even if it is the same
temperature as air because it conducts the heat away from your body
faster than air.

Anyway, sounds like a cool (no pun intended) hack and would probably
be of some benifit just having the water circulating.
