Thrips

Dio,
I'm sorry; as others have mentioned it was springtails (Sira buski), not
thrips (Thrips ssp., also some similar insects of other genera), that are
harmless. I often exchange their names for some reason. These two
insects are distiguishable in that springtails are wingless; they can
only jump around. Thrips can fly and chew plants to their demise, if
not properly taken care of. Hope this clears things up.
