I've tried leaf cuttings from petiolaris-complex species, but have
always had a big 0 as a result. Other than high humidity, do you think the
time of year might be important? I know that for D.villosa, for example,
leaf cutting work much better when taken in autumn or winter. I have a
large D.ordensis which I grew from seeds and is now about 5 years old. I
can never get seeds from it, since it seems to self-sterile, and have
attempted leaf cuttings on various occasions. Yes, I was pull the petioles
down as far as possible, to come as complete as they can.
