They sound like spider mites. I get them every so often, usually on
plants I keep indoors. For me, what seems to work the best is plain
Ivory dishwashing soap (white or clear only) and distilled water. I use
about 10 drops to a standard hand sprayer (about 1/2 quart of water I'd
guess). It has worked well for me on VFTs, Droseras, Roses, etc. It is
also good for aphids; kills them in about a day or less.
