I don't know the size of the DNA, but be carefully in preparing the DNA,
you have to use other methods to isolate DNA of plants than of humans. I
have tried it once with DNA from N. hookeriana by the so
called-CTAB-method (Sathai-Maroof et al. 1984) with quite good success for a
Southernblot.
