From Loyd.Wix@URCGB.SPRINT.COM

Since Peter Taylors monograph on the Genus Utricularia came
out, most people now consider the Genus Polypompholyx as
being a section of the Utricularia. Hence many people now
refer to them as Utric. tenella and Utric. multifida. Allen
Lowrie still considers them to be worthy of Genus status and
they appear as such on his list together with a further
species Polypompholyx (Utric.) westonii. (I don't want to
get into the rights and wrong of this - the name I use
depends on whose company I'm in!)

I currently grow two of these, both from seed:

P/U. multifida - from seed from the UK cp society seed bank.

P/U. tenella 'white flower' (rare apparently) from Allen
Lowrie.

I cannot remember Allens address off the top of my head
though will send this through on Monday if no one else
provides it. Besides the two plants mentioned above, Allen
also has a pink flowered P/U. tenella and P/U. westonii.

It's a good point about growing (or not growing) annuals. I
can remember that when I first started growing CPs I avoided
anything that was an annual! For the life of me now I cannot
think why!

Loyd.
