Hi y'all!

I'm new here, so here's a little about me. I'm an undergrad (pre-EE)
here at the UW. I'm very interested in CP's, but right now all I have is
a Dioneae and a few orchids. Hopefully someday I'll be able to expand my
collection, but for now I think I'll stay lurking in the shadows and
learn as much as I can.

Y'know, they're both right. Putting a resistor in series with the fan
will both reduce the voltage and the current throught the motor. The
two, voltage and current, go hand in hand (along with their good friend
resistance). So the series resistor will lower the energy reaching the
motor by a) reducing the voltage, thus reducing the current, and by b)
reducing the current, thus reducing the voltage. :)

Anyways, I should go now. I just finished my last program of the
quarter, and I need to go to sleep!

Later,

Mike
