Hi Jan,
Thanks for the advice, about cp in Taiwan, Thailand,
and Malaysia. I just received a FAX from Sabah Parks, containing
the itinerary that they have planned for me:

Nov. 28 Travel from Kota Kinabalu to Kinabalu Park,
tour Park Headquarters (Mountain Garden).

Nov. 29 Travel to Masilou, Bundu Tuhan, or Kiau
(outside the Park boundary).

Nov. 30 Start to hike up the mountain, with a
choice of going for the summit or stopping
at Panar Laban.

Dec. 1 Descent from the mountain (sounds like
a good movie title :) )

Dec. 2 Trip to Poring Hot Spring at the lower level

I presume that this stuff is negotiable once I'm there. For example,
if the areas outside the Park boundary are loaded with different
Nepenthes (which might have seeds) then I might want to spend several
days there.
