Well good news, the two Nepenthes I have flowering turn out to include a
male and a female. The N. mirabilis is the female, the N. x rokko male,
and it looks like I have successfully cross pollinated. This may not be
the best pairing, but it is the first time I have had two Nepenthes of
the right sex flowering at the same time, so I am pleased. I'll keep
the group posted and if all goes well there should be some seed for
those interested.

I also had a chance to run by the US Botanical Garden in DC on Monday.
The Botanical Garden has a nice display of Sarrs with some Dionea and
Drosera. The Sarrs are very healthy and worth a stop if you are in the
area.

I will have a longer trip to LA next week, Aug. 11 thru 16, if any one
has suggestions for CP, getting together, etc, like to here from you. I
will be in the Westin Bonaventure near the convention center, but I will
have a rental.
