Thank you Rick for your answer, I 'll try pure peat first for that
_P. agnata _ cutting. You mentioned Miracid in your answer, it has been
mentioned also earlier here in the list, but we don't here in Finland have
such stuff. Is it a fertilizer product? or hormone?. Commercial name?
In Finland it is illegal to sell hormone products in public trade.
I 'll try that eggwhite stuff, must it be dried? Can you explain the
procedure, please.

BTW now is the high season in Northern Finland especially in Lappland,
all bogs are crowded with people searching for... no, not sundews or so
but cloudberries (Rubus chamaemorus) that other gold from the north.

Ok, there are also people collecting sundews:

The Finnish 4-H -youth clubs are collecting
this summer over 2000 Kg of _Drosera rotundifolia_ . They sell them to
medicine factories in Switzerland. These sundews are used for medicines
against common flu etc. Although 2000 Kg of sundews is quite a big amount
there is no fear that they die out. It has been done some studies for
collecting all the sundews in some areas (teh study areas have been 1
quadmeter wide) and no dramatic disappearing have noticed. At least the next
year os so there have been new sundews in the study areas.

Regards (warm 31 C)
..Pekka
