Off the top of my head, the pests that seem to cause the most CP problems are:

Scale
Mealy bugs
Aphids
earthworms
caterpillars
red spider mites
thrips

(that is in order of most to least problematical in my own experience)

Fungus problems are damping off (yes, Botrytis is the genus---very useful
stuff for wine-making though) and sooty mold (which as mentioned before is
often just a secondary problem). Then there's algae to plague the Utric-grower.

Some of our Californian and suburban/rural correspondents would add raccoons,
opposums, deer, dogs, vandals, shuggoths, and anti-drug agents looking for
halogen lights.

In view of habitat destruction, maybe on a global perspective the biggest
pest for CP is _Homo sapiens_!
