The BBC mini-series certainly was excellent - though they must've had an
Australian in the production team because the Triffid Guns shot boomerangs
instead of traingles... ;-)
I think I saw the other version - does anyone have any details about it?

Gordon Cheers' "Carnivorous Plants of the World" has a picture of the BBC
Triffid - they look something like a cross between a Sarracenia (I'd say
x excellens or similar) and an Amorphophallus lily (shown on the next
page of Gordon's book.)
