Sarracenia seedlings

*****Hurry Hurry Hurry!*****
The annual Spring Sonoran Sarracenia Seedling Sale Starts Saturday!
*****Don't miss it!*****

Here's the scoop. I do a bit of hybridizing when I'm not getting into
trouble other ways, and _Sarracenia_ make *lots* of seed. So in the fall
I distribute seed, especially to our CPing compadres overseas. Now I'm
doing my spring thinnings, and I'll have lots of extra seedlings. These
are mostly one or two year old plants, very very small. I'm willing to
send the extras out to people who'd like to try their hand at them. I'm
not thinning these out because they're diseased or inferior plants (they're
fine), rather just because I've got extras. They should all be pretty
vigourous.

Here's the deal. Left to my own laziness, I'd pull the extras out of their
pots and either let them die a horrible shrivelling death of dessication on
the desert gravel behind my greenhouse, or I'd fling them onto the spines of
a cactus in the hideous style of a butcher-bird. But if you want them, I'll
lovingly put them in a baggie, stick them in a nice cool box, and ship them
to you first class. Nifty, huh? But those boxes and postal charges add
up (the missus already thinks I take too many trips to the post office),
so I'm going to ask for some compensation for these--- $2/baggie of plants
plus $3 to cover the cost of a box and postage. This is a bit more than I
ask for seeds, but plants are harder to ship than seeds. I emphasize I
am not asking money to sleaze a profit, rather just to motivate me and
not eat up too much of my CP budget on postage.

This offer is only going out to people in the U.S.---There are too many
problems associated with international shipping of plants. (It's hard
enough to get out me out of my sleepy complacency to send domestic...)

Here's what you should do. Look over the list, and tell me which species
you'd like. It is easiest for me if you identified the seedling by the
number next to each---i.e. (68). Arranging your requests from most desired
to least desired would be helpful. Also, tell me how many species from your
list you'd like. That way you can give me as many back-up choices as you
want, to insure you get a good number of species.

Email me your requests, which I'll fill on a first-come first-served
basis. Include your mailing address. Then I'll do all the weeding and
box the plants. I reserve the right to put some other plants in the box
if I desire, especially if they're taking up room in the greenhouse. When
I send the boxes out I'll email you and tell you what I could send, and
how much you owe. I expect to do my boxing this weekend or the weekend
after that.

In all crosses, I list the seed-parent first. In the unlikely event of a
selfing or unexpected crossing, at least you know one of the parents.
Seedlings marked with a *** are only a few months old, still with
cotyledons, and are _very_ small.
