Dogs were breeded selecting for mutations which in wild animals
would be lethal in the long term. Of cause you can change the
phenotype of animals and plants in quite short times however that
happens due to an artificial evolution (=breeding) without any
selecting for fitness in the wild. N. masoalensis and
madagascariensis do not grow in backyards of houses in
Madagascar.:-)
