All right, given all the talk about asking questions this morning (it is
morning right?), here's two that came up last night at our Tampa Bay CP Club
meeting. First, a new club member brought in a Drosera that I id'ed as D
intermedia, -looked pretty obvious to me- until he asked me if it could be a
hybrid of D. intermedia with D. capillaris. Thing is I didn't think this was
possible, and have never heard anyone talk about hybrids of these two, but I
don't know for sure. So, are they different religions or what? Second, this
same member reports P. caerulea with flowers ranging from white through pale
blue and into purple. This far south I though he had probably seen P. pumila
mixed in with P. caerulea. But unless he was exaggerating, I didn't think
there was more than minor variation in flower color for any of the North
American Pings. So, how variable are they (excluding severe stress, etc) in
flower color?
