I'd point out that stratification, which is necessary to
germinate Sarr. seed, is different from mere refridgeration.
The seeds must be moist AND cold. Barry once posted how
many weeks at what temp, but I can't find it in my records.
It wasn't much, something like 4 weeks at 38 F.
