I have a fungus knat problem in my greenhouse too, and have found that
the Droseras and Pings do a good job of catching them. In fact I like to
see the fungus knats because they are more food. I also raise the North
American sarracenias and have found that they are very good at catching
yellow jackets. This spring I had several pitchers that had caught the
queens and as a result I didn't have many if any workers around. I even
put out one of the yellow jacket traps with the attractent and not a bee.
Last fall I was looking at the traps of S. purpurea purpurea and counted
over 2 dozen dead yellow jackets in ONE pitcher!
