I can see how things are going. Maybe we could merge some newsgroups...

SWM CPer seeks SF CPer for serious fun in beds of sphagnum. Have used
straight peat long enough--it's time to experiment with different mixes.

Gretchen:

I know that those fungus gnats are a pain in the bumside, but are they
causing you problems?

Well, since you want to get rid of them, I'd first just try those yellow
sticky traps, the kind you use for whitefly.

If you really want to try to go with CP on this, I suggest you try
something like _Drosera capensis_. It is a big and lovely plant, and
one of the easiest to grow. Every now and then some of my houseplants get
a bit horrible with fungus gnats, and when this happens I take a _D.capensis_
out of the terrarium and waggle it around the houseplant, while disturbing
the gnats with the other hand. The _Drosera_ gets a good meal. You could also
just use a little vacuum cleaner...

But CP like high humidity...can you provide that?
