Funny, I don't find most of the introductory level of CP to be
difficult to grow, if you follow a few basic rules;

1) Plenty of sunlight.

2) A decent amount of humidity.

3) Pure water, and plenty of it.

For plants such as Dionea, Sarracenia, etc., that require a dormancy
period, you have another rule:

1) allow the plants to go dormant.

I agree that keeping dormant-liking CP such as drosera alive over
dormancy can be a problem. It's too easy to lose them to rot in the
winter. In that case the rule is probably, keep the plants cool,
dry, and shaded, and, keep the plants drier than you probably think
they should be :-).
