Doug,
The detritus produced by _Daphniae_ plus dead individuals thereof will be just
the right stuff to feed your algae, but not the _Utricularia_.
Indeed, the algae will be the end of your _Utricularia_, as I fear.
In growing aquatic _Utriculariae_ it is mostly not the problem to get the
_Utricularia_ growing, but to prevent algae from coming up. Sometimes it helps
when you adjust the water at an acid pH.
