Pardon me, I'm just going blind as well as being dumb :-).

You mail to the listserver, not the cp list, and put
this string in the text part (not the Subject line)
of the message

"get cp cp.suppliers"

The list will be mailed to you. I just did this and
I've appended the most current list below. Regarding
John Hummer, now I place the name. Some time ago he
placed an ad in CPN saying "accepting no further orders".
Is he taking orders again Barry?

NOTE: most of these addresses were culled from CPN. I've only
ordered from a couple of them, so no warranty (express or
implied :-]) should be construed.

Equipment and Supplies
======================

Two places for buying mail order HID lights are:

Light Mfg. Co Metal Halide Grow Lamps
call 1-800-669-5483 for a catalog.

New Earth Metal Halide Grow Lamps
call 1-800-462-5953 for a catalog.

Prices: $200 for 1000 watt system (with bulb), $125 for 175
watt. 1000 watts is enough for an area 10' x 10', 175 watts is
enough for an area 4' x 4'. BS in the New Earth catalog says to
replace bulbs every 3 to 6 months. This is way too often. They
should last a year. The bulbs cost $80 for 1000 watt, $45 for
175 watt. You can probably find someplace local that sells
these fixtures - try a large lighting supplies store. - Don Burden

Mellinger's Inc
2310 W. South Range Rd.
North Lima, Ohio 44452-9731
(216)549-9861

order line: 1-800-321-7444

I got my 1992 Mellinger's catalog. This is a place I've
gotten some things from, like a few wildflowers and seed
packets, flats, and other items. Some products which may
interest members of this group are:

o Darlingtonia ($2.95 each but probably tiny)
o Plastic pots (round and square) 2.25''---10'',
reasonable prices (i.e. 100 4'' pots $12.20) but
I don't know colour or sturdiness
o Various plastic flats
o Pyrethrins (conventional wisdom says CP-friendly)
insecticide $3.19
o Gibberellic Acid
o Plastic Pot labels about $4.00/100
o Max/Min thermometers $23.00
o a LOT of ways to make cheap greenhouses out of polyethylene etc.
