Well, it seems to be less harse of skin-oils than isopropanol (propan-2-ol for
the chemists ;-) ) in my experience, so maybe it would be less harse on CPs?

Maybe, but Metho's a few dollars a litre, if not less, compared with rocket
fuel which would probably set you back $20 or more... The methanol additive
may be of help with the killing of insects, too. (maybe...)
